In September, especially in the telecom sector, there has been an increase of 13% on a year-on-year basis. Big telecom companies are about to launch 5G services in different cities. These companies are increasing the capacity of their data centers and recruiting for specialized positions.

5-5% growth in manufacturing-retail sector jobs
Apart from this, seasonal jobs have also increased in Tier-II cities due to festive demand. There has been an increase of 11% in the recruitment in the Apparel, Textiles and Jewelery sector. At the same time, a growth of 5-5% has been registered in the manufacturing and retail sector jobs. This information has come out from the September data of the Monster Employment Index.

Hiring increased by 28% in the import/export sector
According to the report, due to the expansion plans of companies after Corona, this year’s festive season recruitments have been better than the last few years. Customers are excited about the purchase. This is the reason why the hiring in the import/export sector has grown the most at 28%.

While hiring in the BFSI sector grew by 20% in metro cities, companies on the other hand are investing heavily in digitalisation. This has increased the demand for professionals in automation/office equipment hosting by 65%. Similarly, the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services and Insurance) sector continues to show a steady growth trend with 20% growth in hiring, especially in metro cities.

8% growth in recruitment in hospitality and travel sector
There has been a growth of 8% in the hospitality and travel sector recruitments. There is a positive trend in hiring for positions related to top management. Companies want strong leadership to survive in the face of global uncertainty and rising inflation.

Tier-2 and 3 cities will have an important contribution in recruitment
Shekhar Garisa, CEO of Monster.com, said, “After Corona, there is a stagnation in the hiring of companies. The recruitment trend is expected to pick up further as consumption increases. The festive season contributes a lot to the sales of sectors like retail, e-commerce, travel, manufacturing, import-export. Keeping in view the trend of work from home, Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities will also play an important role in the hiring of companies.
