Six people have been reported dead due to the 6.6 magnitude earthquake in Nepal. According to media reports, at least 6 people died due to the earthquake in Nepal early on Wednesday. According to the news agency ANI, a house had collapsed in Doti district, due to which these people died due to being buried under the debris.

The news agency quoted Chief District Officer Kalpana Shrestha as saying that five people have been injured, who have been admitted to the hospital. He told, ‘Five injured people have been admitted to the hospital. Dozens of houses were destroyed due to landslides at different places across the district.

According to officials, a woman and two children were among the dead. However, the identity of the dead is yet to be ascertained. Nepalese army has been deployed for relief and rescue work in the earthquake-affected areas.

According to the Seismology Center, its epicenter was 90 km southeast of Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand near the border of Nepal. Apart from Delhi, tremors of this earthquake have been felt in some places in Uttarakhand, Himachal and Uttar Pradesh.
