Telangana HC allows police to probe allegations of horse-trading of MLAs by KCR’s party against BJP

The BJP has got a setback from the Telangana High Court. The court has ordered the state police to investigate the allegations leveled against the BJP by KCR’s party. It is worth mentioning that on behalf of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s party TRS, it was said that four of their MLAs were approached to change the party from the BJP side. The party MLAs were also given the lure of money. The rival BJP had filed a petition in the Telangana High Court on the entire matter, seeking a probe by a “neutral” agency like the Central Bureau of Investigation. After which the court ordered the state police to investigate pending the hearing of the BJP’s petition.

Along with this, the court has also issued notice to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government to respond to the concerns of the BJP. The court has given the government time till November 18. It is worth noting that last week, KCR had released some videos after holding a press conference in which he said that his MLAs are being lured by the BJP. Presenting the four party MLAs, KCR had said that they had foiled the buyout attempt.
